Ingredient Spotlight:
Shilajit Extract
Shilajit contains over 84 minerals, including sulfur, zinc, iron, magnesium, and fulvic acid.
Sulfur plays a crucial role in hair health. It supports the bond between proteins called keratin, which constitutes 95% of hair. Additionally, sulfur encourages detoxification in cells and reduces oxidative stress, positively influencing cell stability.
Zinc is essential for the division and growth of hair cells. Clinical studies have shown that daily zinc supplementation increased hair growth in patients with alopecia areata.
Fulvic acid acts as a carrier molecule, transporting nutrients deep into tissues and cells. It enhances nutrient absorption in the scalp, ensuring that essential vitamins and minerals reach hair follicles. Fulvic acid also regulates the immune system, reduces inflammation, eradicates microbes, and combats oxidative stress. By increasing nutrient bioavailability, shilajit supports cellular processes like hair growth.
Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Properties
Shilajit contains potent antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds.
By neutralizing harmful free radicals and reducing inflammation in the scalp, shilajit promotes a healthier scalp environment, allowing for improved hair growth.
In summary, supplementing with shilajit may stimulate hair growth, encourage healthier and fuller hair, and reduce the likelihood of hair loss.Angelica Sinensis Root
Angelica root, also known as dong quai or female ginseng, has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine. Angelica root stimulates blood circulation to the scalp, ensuring that essential nutrients reach the hair follicles. It nourishes the hair from the roots, promoting healthy growth. By improving metabolism, angelica root replenishes nutrients in the body, which is crucial for robust hair development. Angelica root increases blood oxidation, supporting overall hair health. It helps remove toxins that might hinder hair growth. Enriched with Vitamin E, angelica root stimulates oxygen flow in the scalp. Vitamin E is essential for maintaining healthy hair.
In summary, angelica root contributes to better circulation, nutrient supply, and toxin removal, all of which promote hair growth.Bhringraj Powder
Bhringraj, also known as Eclipta alba, is a powerful herb with a rich history in Ayurvedic medicine. Bhringraj can increase the size and density of hair follicles, promoting strong and healthy hair growth. It encourages hair follicles to shift into the active growth phase (anagen phase), where hair grows most effectively. Notably, two animal studies found that bhringraj is more effective than minoxidil, a conventional treatment for hair loss.
These studies suggest that bhringraj stimulates hair follicle formation, leading to improved hair growth. Bhringraj powder contains essential nutrients such as iron, calcium, and vitamin E. These elements nourish hair follicles, enhance scalp blood flow, and promote healthy hair growth. It reaches the hair roots, strengthening follicles and reducing stress-related hair loss.Biotin
Biotin, also known as vitamin B7, plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy hair, skin, and nails. Biotin is essential for the production of keratin, a protein that forms the structural basis of hair, nails, and skin. Some studies suggest that a deficiency in biotin can lead to hair loss. Biotin has been shown to help prevent balding and hair loss. It is commonly used for conditions like alopecia, which causes hair loss in both men and women. While there isn’t enough conclusive evidence to definitively state that biotin directly promotes hair growth, it can potentially make hair strands stronger and shinier. Individuals with dull or damaged hair may benefit from biotin supplementation.
